22 Nights / 23 Days Immersion

The long-awaited Island Yoga 200-hr Teacher Training Program with Yoga Girl, Rachel Brathen, is finally here! We have created a 23-day immersion designed to fully prepare you to teach yoga from an authentic place of inspiration, education, creativity, and compassion. It is education with direct healing impact.

Created by Island Yoga’s founder, Rachel Brathen, this program is an intense culmination of her devoted asana practice and meditation, countless personal breakthroughs, thousands of hours in the yoga classroom, and the courage to shift her life and empower others through sharing honest experiences and teaching yoga.

Our program offers the highest standards of foundational yoga content & philosophy, anatomy & physiology,
and curious exploration into your personal layers – awakening your truth on every level. Unlike other Yoga Teacher Training programs, our program not only focuses on the physical elements of yoga, it centers around reconnecting to our deepest resources of self-awareness, empathy, and courageous motivation.
It is a journey. It is a process. It is a lifelong path that begins here.

Upon completion and passing of all examinations, you will receive an Island Yoga 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training Certificate, giving you eligibility to register with globally recognized Yoga Alliance as an RYT-200.

Meet Your Leader Teachers

Swedish native Rachel Brathen is a New York Times best-selling author, serial entrepreneur, and international yoga teacher residing in Aruba. After graduating school in Stockholm, she traveled to Costa Rica. It was here that she found the joy of incorporating yoga into her everyday life. Deepening her yoga practice and also taking her first steps toward teaching, she ended up moving to Central America where she spent years exploring the intricate studies of yoga and spirituality. After moving to Aruba early 2010, she started teaching yoga full time on this Caribbean island. Her classes are a dynamic Vinyasa Flow, integrating alignment, core work, and breathing techniques with basic poses and creative sequencing. With over two million followers in social media, Rachel shares pieces of her life with the world every day and constantly travels the globe to connect with her community.

Drawing from her background as a Physical Therapist, Lara has combined her love of anatomy, creative movement, and functional training to develop YogaStream, a powerful, challenging flow style that emphasizes anatomy, alignment and intelligent sequencing. Movement has always been Lara’s favorite form of medicine, beginning with her early years as an athlete and dancer. She graduated from Duke University with a BS in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy and a MA in Physical Therapy, worked as a Physical Therapist and began teaching yoga in 1996. Lara’s passion for yoga transformed into a career and sparked a personal mission to help her students find their source of inner strength.
