    Step on your mat and move deeply into a practice created with the intention to make you sweat, find your center and help make space in areas you might feel stuck. Movements are coordinated with the breath and sequenced creatively to get you out of your head and into your body. Physically challenging without being overwhelming, this well-rounded flow class will both strengthen and stretch your body. Roll out your mat, set your intentions and flow!

    Rise and shine! This early morning all-level sunrise class is the perfect balance between stretching and strengthening your body. Designed to wake you up and get you ready for the day, you will leave your mat feeling refreshed, awake and energized.

  • Yin Yoga
    Deep connection, long holds, focused on bones and joints.

    Yin Yoga

    In our daily lives, we often find ourselves surrounded by experiences, sounds, and people asking a lot of our energy and attention. Yin yoga is the opposite of this. It is the perfect pause in our dynamic lives as yin offers calm, stillness and peace. Yin Yoga focuses on the bones and joints, especially the areas of the hips, pelvis and lower spine, targeting the deeper connective tissues in the body. These connective tissues are best reached when the postures are held between at least 2-5 minutes.

    Honoring basic anatomical differences and using props, you will be stimulated to find your own places of resistance and linger there as you breathe smoothly. This practice allows your energy to flow more freely, improves flexibility and stimulates the organs. Yin yoga is an excellent practice to complement high-intensity sports and more dynamic styles of yoga where the focus lies more on stretching and strengthening the muscle groups. Island Yoga’s yin classes are multilevel and will leave you feeling grounded, open and with peace of mind.

  • SUP Yoga

    SUP Yoga

    All Levels Welcome

    Performed on Stand-Up Paddleboards floating on the ocean, this class is the perfect peak of your island adventure! We meet on the beach for an introduction to our floating yoga studio, and together walk out to our SUP boards that are anchored down to stay stable in the wind and waves. Your SUP Yoga teacher will guide you through a practice that starts slowly, letting you get used to the unstable surface, and then moving into a more dynamic flow before slowing down to cool off with restorative postures – and the greatest Savasana you’ve ever experienced (truly!). Sky above you, sea below you, surrounded by nature, sun, and salt... What could be more blissful?

    Pair the calm from your sun soaked beach nap with a vinyasa class that will keep your energy up into the evening! Vinyasa means to link breath with movement. Set to mood-matching music, you will flow from pose to pose in a way that challenges you to drop focus out of your mind and into your body. This well-rounded class will strengthen and stretch all areas of your body, often breaking a sweat as you undo physical and mental blockages. You will step off your mat feeling stronger, more centered, and ready to take on the rest of your day with a smile.

    Open to all levels through modifications suggested by your teacher, although we do suggest you have experience with physical activity for the continuous rigor that this class offers.

    Half restorative poses, half guided meditation, this peaceful class creates profound restoration. With the support of props, you will easily surrender into deep relaxation in grounding and restorative poses. Once the poses take effect, you will experience a deep sense of well-being and calm through guided meditation, breathing techniques and soft music. This nurturing class will leave you feeling renewed on a physical, mental and emotional level.

    New to Yoga? No idea what a “downward facing dog” is? Yoga is an ancient science that holds benefits for nearly every need and desire you have. Not only does it help you with physical flexibility and strength, but it can heal ailments, restore balance in every sense of the word, and open up a more whole and connected life experience.

    Join this class to begin your Yoga experience in a safe space. You can expect clear descriptions and practice of safe alignment in the most common asanas, or yoga postures, giving you the confidence to continue your practice in our other classes.

    Open to beginners or those who desire a refresher in proper and safe alignment for your individual body type.

    A new unique adventure of focus, balance and flow!

    TerraWave Yoga

    Level 1/2

    Embark on this unique adventure of focus, balance and flow on the YogaFit® Balance Board! Performed on bamboo boards balanced on air-filled cushions, this class takes a maximum of 15 people and is an adventurous way to work your balance, core and sense of adventure.

    This uplifting class is designed to stimulate you to connect to your breath, maintain focus and boost your spirits. The class flows like a wave: starting on the mat, you will first move through breathing techniques and seated stretches and work towards a standing core flow on the board. Moving fluidly, you will be encouraged to let go of whatever is holding you back and experience a sense of connection, freedom and empowerment. You will then wind down through longer held seated postures on the mat, topped off with a blissful Savasana to enjoy the afterglow of your practice. This class will leave you feeling energized and open. A playful blend of energy, soul and fun!

    Yoga for Athletes

    Add to your sports regimen with this Vinyasa-styled class. Set to fun music and mixing in plenty of core and upper body strengthening, boost your fitness with extra emphasis to stretching those areas we tend to leave a little too tight. Adding flexibility directly increases your muscle’s ability to strengthen. Expect simpler sequences that will make you sweat and leave you feeling even stronger for your next sports game.

    Open to all levels, easily approachable for men and those “athletic types” who enjoy yoga as their added fitness supplement.
